The method of the relay pumping operation(Tohatsu VF63AS-R)
Example of use in automatic relay operation (No operator is required at the relay pump). The relay pumping line with VF63AS-R can be extended endlessly. When the water hits the VF63AS-R, engine and pump function are automatically started which means that no one need to be on and operate the pump pressure. When the water from master pump stops, the VF63AS-R is also stopped automatically. It is fully-automatically controlled and providing new solution for forest/wild land fire and long distance water transfer action.

Quick priming is provided by simple operating Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump. The pump primes 3 meters in only 3 seconds.
・Engine overheat protection sensor
Engine overheat protection device is provided to safeguard against cooling water loss, and to protect engine in the operation with discharge valve closed. This device automatically shuts off engine when engine temperature reaches 80℃.
・Auto priming system
Rotary vane vacuum pump is automatically activated after engine starts, and cut off once priming is completed.

By optimizing the crankshaft and intake manifold, we have managed to reduce 12kg(13.5%) without sacrificing engine performance. The new Ball Valve Outlet has been redesigned to reduce the strength you need when opening the valve after priming.
・Improved Layout
The bottom cowl-less design improves serviceability and reduces tempratures inside the cowl. In addition, each gauge has been relocated to improve visibility. Furthermore, by eliminating the drain and air valves on the discharge valve, the operation of water drainage has been simplified.
・Adopting up-to-date technology
The engine speed governor function is now fully electrically controlled which provides flawless and smooth operation through the dial. Wireless self-diagnostic function with the use of Wi-Fi Diagnostic Tool* enables you to connect your smartphone to the ECU allowing you to check the engine condition and error codes or if any as for the daily check-up and maintenace. *Wi-Fi Diagnostic Tool is sold separately.
